Mill Finish is one of the most economical options because no additional processing is required. This choice is suitable for applications where function is more important than appearance. It is good to note that when choosing mill finish, 24 gauge is a better choice as cost differences between 26 and 24 gauge in mill finish are very little.

SMP offers good durability, hardness and excellent film integrity. It is generally a more economical choice compared to PVDF, while still providing a long-lasting performance. SMP is more ideal to use with lighter color choices. This paint is only available in 26 gauge. 

Kynar 500 PVDF coatings are known for their exceptional durability and colorfastness due to the strong carbon-fluorine bonds in the PVDF resin, which resist UV degregation and hard weather. Kynar is more ideal to use with darker color choices. This paint is available in 26 and 24 gauge. 

Crinkle SMP and Textured Low-Gloss Kynar are becoming a popular trend in metal roofing due it's textured finish, allowing to redirect light and enhance visual depth.
